Laws § 333.12421","heading":"Rules.","body":"Sec. 12421.\n\nThe department shall promulgate rules for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of migratory laborers and their families who occupy agricultural labor camps.\n\nThe rules shall include provisions for:\n\nThe appointment by the director of an advisory board representing, among others, growers, processors, local health departments, and religious or fraternal organizations. The advisory board shall advise the department on the allocation of the fund and any matter which pertains to this part and shall make recommendations to the department as to legislation or other measures necessary or advisable to alleviate a migratory farm labor housing problem.\n\nThe collection, treatment, and disposal of human wastes and sewage at agricultural labor camps.\n\nThe supply and maintenance of safe water at agricultural labor camps.\n\nThe temporary storage and removal of food wastes and rubbish at agricultural labor camps.\n\nThe housing of seasonal laborers and their families, including adequate and safe construction and repair, fire protection, facilities for laborers and their families to keep and prepare food, and other necessary matters relating to their good health, safety, and welfare.\n\nFor the administration of migratory labor housing remodeling grants.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-12421","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"ead744e1f5f7c085e5c56dee0d9cd22ceaf0403cc958a0b57810c8859dc4f54e","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.12416","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.12425"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
