Laws § 333.16146","heading":"Board; granting license or registration.","body":"Sec. 16146.\n\n(1) A board shall grant a license or registration to an applicant meeting the requirements for the license or registration as prescribed in this article and the rules promulgated under this article.\n\n(2) A board which grants licenses may:\n\n(a) Certify licensees in those health profession specialty fields within its scope of practice which are established in this article.\n\n(b) Reclassify licenses on the basis of a determination that the addition or removal of conditions or restrictions is appropriate.\n\n(c) Upon good cause, request that a licensee or registrant have a criminal history check conducted in accordance with section 16174(3).","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-16146","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"fea20c8825aa27b89cff8e16e00108b0bbcec529412dcefa7bbe9ddcc81a6d10","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.16145","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.16147"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
