Laws § 333.16165","heading":"Health professional recovery committee; creation; appointment of members; ex officio member; qualifications.","body":"Sec. 16165.\n\nThe health professional recovery committee is created in the department and shall consist of the following voting members, appointed as follows:\n\nSubject to subsection (4), each board created under this article and the physician's assistants task force, in consultation with the appropriate professional associations, shall appoint 1 health professional member.\n\nThe director shall appoint 2 public members, 1 of whom has specialized training or experience, or both, in treatment of individuals with addictive behavior.\n\nThe director shall serve as an ex officio member of the committee without vote.\n\nThe director and the boards and the physician's assistants task force shall not appoint as a member of the committee an individual who is at the time of appointment a member of a board or task force.\n\nThe members appointed by the boards and the physician's assistants task force under subsection (1)(a) shall have education, training, and clinical expertise in the treatment of individuals with addictive behavior or mental illness, or both.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-16165","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"fe50cf53d1c3bb388758bff006132162b627270fee0f6fc31a78f6103cb026c7","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.16163","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.16166"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
