Laws § 333.18421","heading":"Advisory committee; creation; purpose; appointment and terms of members.","body":"Sec. 18421.\n\nThere is created a 7-member advisory committee whose purpose is to make recommendations to the department relative to qualifications for registration, establishment of education and training standards, and actions regarding disciplinary proceedings. The members shall be appointed by the governor for a term of 3 years.\n\nThe membership on the committee is as follows:\n\nFour members who are registered sanitarians.\n\nOne member who represents the Michigan restaurant association or its successor organization.\n\nOne member who represents the Michigan groundwater association or its successor organization.\n\nOne member who represents the Michigan onsite wastewater recycling association or its successor organization.\n\nOf the initial members who are registered sanitarians, 1 member shall be appointed for a term of 1 year, 1 member shall be appointed for a term of 2 years, and 2 members shall be appointed for terms of 3 years.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-18421","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"a836c0f2155fecb141a1f14a39fea2666737878f05f845b1b0c2e3855b4c083b","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.18413","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.18501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
