Laws § 333.21707","heading":"Prescribing course of medical treatment; limitations on authority.","body":"Sec. 21707.\n\nThe course of medical treatment provided to a patient in a nursing home shall be prescribed by the patient's physician.\n\nThis part does not:\n\nAuthorize the supervision, regulation, or control of the practice of any method of healing.\n\nAuthorize the medical supervision, regulation, or control of the remedial care or nonmedical nursing care of patients in a nursing home operated for the adherents of a bona fide church or religious denomination who rely upon treatment by prayer or spiritual means only in accordance with the creed or tenets of that church or denomination. The residents, patients, personnel, or employees, other than food handlers, of the home are not required to submit to a medical or physical examination.
