Laws § 333.21741","heading":"Rules.","body":"Sec. 21741.\n\nThe department of public health, after seeking advice and consultation from the department of social services, appropriate consumer and professional organizations, and concerned agencies, shall promulgate rules to implement and administer this part.\n\nInitial rules proposed under this part shall be submitted to a public hearing not later than 6 months after this section is enacted into law.\n\nIn addition to the rules prescribed in section 20171, rules for nursing homes shall include the establishment of standards relating to:\n\nComplaint procedures.\n\nDischarges and transfers.\n\nEmergency procedures.\n\nMedical audit procedures.\n\nPatients' rights.\n\nStandards of patient care to be provided in nursing homes.\n\nTraining, educational, and competency requirements of nursing home personnel other than licensed personnel.\n\nUtilization and quality control review procedures.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-21741","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"f53d9307c29a65835b9caba1fb768f9b6791aec259c3c769cd4d0dc97b7276a7","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.21735","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.21743"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
