Laws § 333.2473","heading":"Specific objectives of required services; demonstrating provision of service; contracts.","body":"Sec. 2473.\n\nRequired services designated pursuant to part 23 shall be directed at the following specific objectives:\n\nPrevention and control of environmental health hazards.\n\nPrevention and control of diseases.\n\nPrevention and control of health problems of particularly vulnerable population groups.\n\nDevelopment of health care facilities and agencies and health services delivery systems.\n\nRegulation of health care facilities and agencies and health services delivery systems to the extent provided by state law.\n\nA local health department and its local governing entity shall provide or demonstrate the provision of each required service which the local health department is designated to provide.\n\nThe department may enter into contracts necessary or appropriate to carry out this section.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-2473","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"2bd6bd67a66b9a53ee4c1694907e665a7456b0e08d41f9afbe4b97241df9fb89","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.2472","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.2475"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
