Laws § 333.5735","heading":"Agent orange commission; duties.","body":"Sec. 5735.\n\nThe commission shall do all of the following:\n\nReview the toxicological and epidemiological literature on herbicide compounds, and their by-product contaminants, of the type utilized by the armed forces during the period prescribed in section 5701(1)(j).\n\nReview and publicize the department's public information program directed at Vietnam-era veterans who have been exposed to agent orange, a chemical agent, or other herbicide mixtures containing dioxin.\n\nReview the department's programmatic and research activities and provide recommendations to the department, the chairpersons of the committees of the Senate and House of Representatives responsible for legislation concerning veterans, and other appropriate governmental offices, as to the department's ongoing investigations of the adverse effects on human health of agent orange, chemical agents, and other herbicide mixtures containing dioxin.\n\nAdvise and assist the department in the implementation of this part.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-5735","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"c37155111bafdeddca8ad1f8ebbb5702e30b53efe86cb65efc73cbfc23303cc1","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.5731","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.5737"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
