Laws § 333.7502","heading":"Powers of agents.","body":"Sec. 7502.\n\nAn inspection agent or investigatory agent of the department of commerce may do any of the following:\n\nExecute and serve search warrants, arrest warrants, administrative inspection warrants, subpoenas, and summonses issued under the authority of this state.\n\nSeize property pursuant to this article.\n\nPerform other law enforcement duties the administrator or the department of commerce designates.\n\nAn agent of the department of treasury designated by the commissioner of revenue may exercise the powers specified in subsection (1) with regard to the seizure of property under section 7521(e) and (f) after notification of the department of state police or any other local law enforcement agency having jurisdiction.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-7502","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"45de5c17beb6f5a5cfd6da82dcfe78855365d134fca0aef5e1a49ba2a17e349a","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.7501","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.7504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
