The program shall include, but is not limited to, all of the following:\n\nProfessional education programs for health professionals to develop state-of-the-art skills in cancer screening, diagnosis, referral, treatment, and rehabilitation.\n\nPublic education programs to assist the public in understanding all of the following:\n\nThe benefits of regular breast cancer screening.\n\nHow to make the best use of the medical care system for cancer screening, diagnosis, referral, treatment, and rehabilitation.\n\nThe available options for treatment of cancer.\n\nAn applied research and community demonstration grant program that provides grants to local communities to demonstrate and evaluate 1 or more of the following:\n\nMethods to reduce cancer morbidity and mortality.\n\nEconomical and effective methods of providing access to breast cancer screening, diagnosis, referral, treatment, and rehabilitation services for populations with higher than expected rates of breast cancer morbidity or mortality.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 333","Act Act-368-of-1978"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-333-9501","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"8e12caf08c6870207226afe6f06deb53d788bab47b54e32051b73e1567b0060e","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.9329","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-333.9503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
