Laws § 338.3217","heading":"Duration of license; conditions to renewal.","body":"Sec. 217.\n\nUnless the department revokes or suspends a license, the license shall remain in effect for 1 year from the date of issuance.\n\nThe department shall renew a license annually if the asbestos abatement contractor satisfies the following conditions:\n\nSubmits a completed application for a renewal on forms provided by the department no sooner than 90 days before the license expires and not later than 30 days before the license expires. An application for renewal that is received after the time period described in this subdivision shall be treated as an initial application and shall require payment of an initial license fee, rather than a renewal license fee.\n\nPays to the department the license renewal fee as specified in section 209.\n\nHas complied with all applicable requirements of this act and the rules promulgated under this act.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 338","Act Act-135-of-1986"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-338-3217","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"6cb7421a7d185e2d5165f5eafa30be875ee40618547ae577f130cb6ebf7557f4","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3215","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3219"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
