Laws § 338.3633b","heading":"Participant license.","body":"Sec. 33b.\n\n(1) An individual shall not participate in a contest or event as a referee, judge, matchmaker, or timekeeper without a participant license from the department under this section. To obtain a participant license, an applicant must submit all of the following to the department:\n\n(a) An application. The department may prescribe the form and the contents of the application form.\n\n(b) With the application described in subdivision (a), a nonrefundable application processing fee in the amount of $30.00 and 1 of the following annual license fees, as applicable:\n\n( i ) Referee license, $150.00.\n\n( ii ) Judge license, $70.00.\n\n( iii ) Matchmaker license, $150.00.\n\n( iv ) Timekeeper license, $70.00.\n\n(2) An applicant for a referee, judge, matchmaker, or timekeeper participant license must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the department that he or she meets all of the following to receive a license under this section:\n\n(a) Has good moral character.\n\n(b) Is at least 18 years of age.\n\n(c) Any other requirement established by rule.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 338","Act Act-403-of-2004"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-338-3633b","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"de2627c790932b99895ccfad71705b733fdf49042bb8723347e25ba506901162","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3633a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3633c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
