Laws § 338.3643","heading":"Cease and desist order.","body":"Sec. 43.\n\n(1) After an investigation has been conducted, the director may order a person to cease and desist from a violation of this act or a rule promulgated or an order issued under this act.\n\n(2) A person ordered to cease and desist may request a hearing before the department if a written request for a hearing is filed within 30 days after the effective date of the order.\n\n(3) Upon a violation of a cease and desist order issued under this act, the department of attorney general may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to restrain and enjoin, temporarily or permanently, or both, a person from further violating a cease and desist order.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 338","Act Act-403-of-2004"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-338-3643","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"0027d9df9799badbb7113d67cb943c2791fc749517964783b3fd0eabd90924d4","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3642","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-338.3644"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
