Laws § 339.5511","heading":"Order to cease and desist; hearing; action to restrain and enjoin.","body":"Sec. 511.\n\n(1) After an investigation is conducted, the director may order a person to cease and desist from a violation of this act or a rule promulgated or an order issued under this act.\n\n(2) A person that is ordered to cease and desist under subsection (1) is entitled to a hearing before the department if a written request for a hearing is filed within 30 days after the effective date of the order.\n\n(3) If a cease and desist order issued under this section is violated, the department of the attorney general may bring an action in a circuit court of this state to restrain and enjoin, temporarily or permanently, or both, a person from further violating the cease and desist order.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 339","Act Act-407-of-2016"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-339-5511","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"d957a25bc1ed3bbb659a470bdc88ce3edb4a1fac937178495dc02e9631e59a97","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-339.5509","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-339.5513"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
