Laws § 339.5915","heading":"Article inapplicable to certain boilers.","body":"Sec. 915.\n\nThis article does not apply to any of the following:\n\n(a) Boilers under federal control.\n\n(b) Boilers used in the power plants of self-propelled vehicles designed primarily for the transportation of individuals or property on a highway, except vehicles used exclusively on stationary rails or tracks.\n\n(c) Boilers used solely for agricultural purposes.\n\n(d) Steam or vapor boilers that carry a pressure of not more than 15 p.s.i.g. and are located in a private residence or in an apartment building with a capacity of fewer than 6 families.\n\n(e) Hot water boilers operated at a pressure that does not exceed 160 p.s.i.g. or a temperature that does not exceed 250 degrees Fahrenheit and are located in a private residence or in an apartment building with a capacity of fewer than 6 families.\n\n(f) Miniature steam or marine engines used as a hobby.\n\n(g) Boilers used on farms for mint processing purposes.\n\n(h) Subject to section 919, miniature hobby locomotives that operate on narrow gauge tracks that are less than 24 inches in width.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 339","Act Act-407-of-2016"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-339-5915","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"07a7bde294fcb934801eaa3858e7afd683170012e928f7adfa18323309330a2a","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-339.5913","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-339.5917"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
