Laws § 390.701a","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Sec. 1a.\n\nAs used in this act:\n\n(a) \"Board of trustees\" means the board of trustees of Albion college created in section 1.\n\n(b) \"College\" means Albion college, created in section 1.\n\n(c) \"Nontrustee volunteer\" means an individual, other than a volunteer trustee, performing services for the college who does not receive compensation or any other type of consideration for the services other than reimbursement for expenses actually incurred.\n\n(d) \"Trustee\" means a member of the board of trustees.\n\n(e) \"Volunteer trustee\" means a trustee who does not receive anything of more than nominal value from the college for serving as a trustee other than reasonable per diem compensation and reimbursement for actual, reasonable, and necessary expenses incurred by a trustee in his or her capacity as a trustee.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 390","Act Act-72-of-1857"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-390-701a","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"97c1d43347e7dda8754b7cac185adcb7bfa0be19757a3673ff3b173410743d6e","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-390.701","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-390.702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
