Laws § 393.1","heading":"State institute commission; transfer of powers and duties relative to school for blind and school for deaf to state board of education; superintendents; employees; assistants.","body":"Sec. 1.\n\nThe powers and duties relating to the Michigan school for the deaf, at Flint, and the Michigan school for the blind, at Lansing, which are now vested by law in the state institute commission within the state welfare department by Act No. 163 of the Public Acts of 1921, as a successor to the boards of trustees of said institutions, are hereby transferred to and vested in the state board of education. The following institutions are hereby placed under the jurisdiction and control of the said state board of education, namely:\n\nThe Michigan school for the deaf, at Flint;\n\nThe Michigan school for the blind, at Lansing.\n\nThe state board of education on the effective date of this act, shall be the legal successor to all powers, duties and responsibilities of the state institute commission with respect to such institutions.
