Laws § 399.604","heading":"Property loaned to museum generally; duties.","body":"Sec. 4.\n\nRegardless of the date of a loan of property, a museum shall do each of the following:\n\nUpdate its records if a lender informs the museum of a change of address or change in ownership of property loaned, or if the lender and museum negotiate a change in the duration of the loan.\n\nIf the museum changes its address, do each of the following:\n\nProvide each lender whose name and address is known to the museum with written notice of the change of address by ordinary mail within 30 days of the change of address.\n\nPublish a notice of the change of address at least twice, 60 or more days apart, in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in which the museum is located.\n\nIf the museum is permanently closing, terminate each loan pursuant to section 7.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 399","Act Act-24-of-1992"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-399-604","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"2cd1ecbf3ff89e5a893e82e2cbac3265d175023b4a405faaa87bb1170d598a48","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-399.603","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-399.605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
