Laws § 400.115r","heading":"Interstate compact on adoption and medical assistance; citation of MCL 400.115r and 400.115s.","body":"Sec. 115r.\n\nSections 115r and 115s shall be known and may be cited as the \"interstate compact on adoption and medical assistance\".\n\nBy the enactment of sections 115r and 115s, this state becomes a party state.\n\nSections 115r and 115s shall be liberally construed to accomplish all of the following:\n\nStrengthen protections for each adoptee who is a child with special needs on behalf of whom a party state commits to pay adoption assistance when that child's residence state is a state other than the state committed to provide the adoption assistance.\n\nProvide substantive assurances and operating procedures that promote the delivery of medical assistance and other services to a child on an interstate basis through medical assistance programs established by the laws of each state that is a party to the compact.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 400","Act Act-280-of-1939"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-400-115r","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"1acca687731360e9c8d5c2f7d213645d4901efa2bf50b55929e436cbee870ce3","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.115q","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.115s"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
