Laws § 400.726b","heading":"Adult foster care; description of services to patients or residents with alzheimer's disease; contents; “represents to the public” defined.","body":"Sec. 26b.\n\nBeginning not more than 90 days after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, an adult foster care large group home, an adult foster care small group home, or an adult foster care congregate facility that represents to the public that it provides inpatient or residential care or services, or both, to persons with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions shall provide to each prospective patient, resident, or surrogate decision maker a written description of the services provided by the home or facility to patients or residents with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions. A written description shall include, but not be limited to, all of the following:\n\nThe overall philosophy and mission reflecting the needs of residents with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions.\n\nThe process and criteria for placement in or transfer or discharge from a program for residents with alzheimer's disease or related conditions.\n\nThe process used for assessment and establishment of a plan of care and its implementation.\n\nStaff training and continuing education practices.\n\nThe physical environment and design features appropriate to support the function of residents with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions.\n\nThe frequency and types of activities for residents with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions.\n\nIdentification of supplemental fees for services provided to patients or residents with Alzheimer's disease or related conditions.\n\nAs used in this section, \"represents to the public\" means advertises or markets the facility as providing specialized Alzheimer's or dementia care services.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 400","Act Act-218-of-1979"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-400-726b","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"b2b44dd9cf113dca9a8dffe6daa0d9fff8004a8ba6b2decaf687c2ebbda310f1","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.726a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.726c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
