Laws § 400.770","heading":"Monitoring committees; establishment; composition; duties.","body":"Sec. 20.\n\nThe family independence agency shall establish in each county participating in the on-line food stamp distribution program a monitoring committee consisting of representatives of the distributor, the county social service office, and food stamp recipients. Each committee shall:\n\nContinually review the administration of the program and its impact on recipients;\n\nDevelop alternatives to reduce hardships and problems to recipients which may be created by the on-line issuance program;\n\nMake recommendations and help develop and utilize community resources to provide round trip transportation for food stamp recipients when the distribution site is inaccessible to them;\n\nMake recommendations regarding establishment of additional distribution sites;\n\nEvaluate the authorized representative system and make recommendations for its improvement.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 400","Act Act-387-of-1984"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-400-770","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"e1476549ea6fa7629f889f2d2265f3a1315c2ad14316d5e955070ce347323107","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.769","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-400.1501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
