Laws § 408.336","heading":"Ski lifts; fees.","body":"Sec. 16.\n\nAn application for a permit shall be accompanied by fees of:\n\n$25.00 for an annual permit; or\n\n$2.00 for each rope tow,\n\n$5.00 for each T bar, J bar or platter pull,\n\n$15.00 for each chair lift or skimobile, and\n\n$30.00 for each aerial tramway,\n\nif greater than the $25.00 annual permit fee.\n\nInspection fees shall be as follows:\n\n$8.00 for each rope tow,\n\n$20.00 for each T bar, J bar or platter pull,\n\n$60.00 for each chair lift or skimobile,\n\n$120.00 for each aerial tramway, and\n\n$50.00 for reinspections or special inspections at an operator's request.\n\nAny operator may employ any person, partnership or corporation, approved by the commissioner and board, to make the inspections. Inspections made by any person, partnership, or corporation, that may be employed by an operator, shall be on forms furnished or approved by the department. Inspection fees shall be waived when the annual permit application is accompanied by such an inspection report.\n\nFees for review and approval of plans prior to construction shall be $200.00 for a chair lift, T bar, J bar, platter pull or tramway.\n\nFees for review and approval of plans for modification and alteration of an existing lift shall be $50.00.\n\nFees shall be paid to the department, which shall give receipts therefor.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 408","Act Act-199-of-1962"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-408-336","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"a659d93c06d20737143dd59378ff902d9ed9cd8129c655f84556e545d2faedb5","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-408.335","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-408.337"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
