Laws § 421.54h","heading":"Appointment of individual to perform certain activities; \"impostor\" defined.","body":"Sec. 54h.\n\n(1) The director shall appoint an individual to perform activities that include, but are not limited to:\n\n(a) Making referrals for criminal, civil, and administrative action and disposition of appropriate cases involving impostors.\n\n(b) Reviewing administrative policies, practices, and procedures.\n\n(c) Reviewing procedures the unemployment agency has adopted to mitigate the incidence of claims submitted by impostors, and making recommendations to improve those procedures.\n\n(d) Making recommendations to improve integrity and accountability within the unemployment agency.\n\n(e) Working with the auditor general to ensure effective and efficient processes within the unemployment agency.\n\n(2) As used in this section, \"impostor\" means that term as defined in section 54f.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 421","Act Act-1-of-1936-Ex-Sess-"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-421-54h","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"f39d626265fe01907a41fff67906bb38bfa56b0f5903b28c2be7b6a1b1944703","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-421.54g","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-421.55"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
