Laws § 436.1407","heading":"Brewpub license; additional requirements; renewal and revocation of license.","body":"Sec. 407.\n\n(1) The commission shall grant a brewpub license to a person that, in addition to complying with section 405, does all of the following:\n\n(a) Pays the fee as prescribed in section 525.\n\n(b) Provides evidence to the commission that not less than 25% of the gross sales of the restaurant during the 1-year licensure period are derived from the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages prepared for consumption on the premises.\n\n(c) Complies with section 405(3) to (7).\n\n(2) The commission shall renew a brewpub license of a person who does all of the following:\n\n(a) Pays the fee as prescribed in section 525.\n\n(b) Provides evidence to the commission that not less than 25% of the gross sales of the restaurant during the 1-year licensure period are derived from the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages prepared for consumption on the premises.\n\n(c) Complies with section 405(3) to (7).\n\n(3) The commission shall revoke a brewpub license if, during the 1-year licensure period, less than 25% of the gross sales of the restaurant are derived from the sale of food and nonalcoholic beverages prepared for consumption on the premises.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 436","Act Act-58-of-1998"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-436-1407","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"10d95cd63a402818330e922350b1d908d285f269eb81dab4e7beff43fbb953f6","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-436.1405","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-436.1409"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
