Laws § 436.1914a","heading":"Powdered alcohol; use, possession, sale, or offer for sale prohibited; violation as misdemeanor; exception; \"powdered alcohol\" defined.","body":"Sec. 914a.\n\n(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2), a person shall not use or offer for use, possess, sell, or offer for sale powdered alcohol. A person that violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable as provided in section 909.\n\n(2) This section does not apply to a hospital that operates primarily for the purpose of conducting scientific research, a state institution conducting bona fide research, a private college or university conducting bona fide research, or a pharmaceutical company or biotechnology company conducting bona fide research.\n\n(3) As used in this section, \"powdered alcohol\" means alcohol that is sold in powder form for either direct use or reconstitution.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 436","Act Act-58-of-1998"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-436-1914a","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"073a3c6129843476acfbe14a1ea1864e9b2b02cef578d07969411bb940b61769","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-436.1914","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-436.1914b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
