Laws § 445.1722","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Sec. 2.\n\nAs used in this act:\n\n\"Emergency personnel\" means police, fire, or other appropriate emergency medical personnel.\n\n\"Operator\" means a person or entity who owns or controls or who has operational responsibility for a roller skating center.\n\n\"Roller skater\" means a person wearing roller skates while that person is in a roller skating center for the purpose of roller skating.\n\n\"Roller skating center\" means a building, facility, or premises which provides an area specifically designed to be used for roller skating by the public.\n\n\"Spectator\" means a person who is present in a roller skating center only for the purpose of observing skating activity, whether recreational or competitive.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 445","Act Act-389-of-1988"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-445-1722","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"0a7226ba5ae0192c5358cbb8f0cd029ed20531e74815e157266b8b0eef89d269","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-445.1721","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-445.1723"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
