Laws § 445.2123","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Sec. 3.\n\nAs used in this act:\n\n(a) \"Bot\" means an automated software application programmed to perform automatic and repetitive tasks and that is designed to impersonate or replicate human activity online.\n\n(b) \"Entertainment event\" means a concert, theatrical performance, sporting event, exhibition, show, or similar scheduled activity held in this state that meets all of the following:\n\n( i ) Is open to the public.\n\n( ii ) Is held in a public or private venue.\n\n( iii ) Charges an admission fee to attend.\n\n(c) \"Person\" means any of the following:\n\n( i ) An individual.\n\n( ii ) A sole proprietorship, partnership, association, corporation, limited liability company, or other legal entity.\n\n( iii ) A combination of persons described in subparagraphs ( i ) and ( ii ).\n\n(d) \"Ticket\" means a physical, electronic, or other form of a certificate, voucher, document, token, or other evidence indicating that the person entitled to possession through purchase or otherwise has a right to enter a venue for an entertainment event at the date and time specified on the ticket.\n\n(e) \"Ticket purchasing limit\" means the posted limit stating the number of tickets a person may purchase for a specific entertainment event during an online ticket sale.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 445","Act Act-50-of-2025"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-445-2123","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"c70dfde1a6a7c39165a645a0910c4a1968a1fe41e42d443e83814ce1b9ef8815","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-445.2121","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-445.2125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
