Laws § 446.71","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Sec. 1.\n\nAs used in this act:\n\n(a) \"Customer\" means an individual who is lawfully on the premises of a retail establishment.\n\n(b) \"Doctor\" means a licensed doctor of medicine or a licensed doctor of osteopathic medicine and surgery.\n\n(c) \"Eligible medical condition\" means Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, any other inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, pregnancy, or any other medical condition that requires immediate access to a toilet facility.\n\n(d) \"Retail establishment\" means a place of business open to the general public for the sale of goods or services.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 446","Act Act-469-of-2008"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-446-71","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"cc7c8a376b7cf3e80874c72a149695ac03fd94d294dd0d107956a4d59253db73","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-446.219","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-446.72"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
