Laws § 450.734","heading":"Powers of department generally.","body":"Sec. 4.\n\nThe department may do all of the following:\n\nDevelop, collect, and disseminate information useful to persons and organizations throughout the state in undertaking or promoting the establishment and successful operation of employee-owned corporations.\n\nEvaluate the feasibility and economic viability of a proposed employee-owned corporation.\n\nProvide technical assistance and counseling services to persons who seek to form an employee-owned corporation.\n\nProvide assistance, counseling, and training in the operation of an employee-owned corporation.\n\nAssist persons in obtaining financing for the purchase and operation of an employee-owned corporation.\n\nPromote and coordinate the efforts of local, state, federal, and private agencies to assist in the formation or operation of an employee-owned corporation.\n\nRecommend appropriate legislative or executive action to enhance opportunities for employee-owned corporations in this state.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 450","Act Act-152-of-1985"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-450-734","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"b488736a5950d15e9034740e1d4974ae9012588b46c9636008abef0624cce7a7","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-450.733","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-450.735"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
