Laws § 457.352","heading":"Grand lodge; articles of association, execution, contents.","body":"Sec. 2.\n\nAny 10 or more persons residents of this state being members of the grand lodge of the Knights of Pythias of the state of Michigan desirous to become incorporated may make and execute articles of association under their hands and seals which articles of association shall be acknowledged before some officer authorized by law to take acknowledgments of deeds and shall set forth:\n\nFirst The names of the persons associating in the first instance and their places of residence;\n\nSecond The corporate name by which such association shall be known in the law, and the place of its business office;\n\nThird The object and purpose of such association which shall be to promote the general welfare of the fraternity known as the grand lodge of Knights of Pythias and the period for which it is incorporated not exceeding 30 years.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 457","Act Act-17-of-1877"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-457-352","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"7642f517e3050213d29c748dbb4390c33e87ad54f4ea934148cdbe13f121aaeb","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-457.351","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-457.353"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
