Laws § 474.67","heading":"Financial assistance for facilities of rail freight and marine freight transportation; deposit of funds to be held as separate fund; rail freight fund; administration.","body":"Sec. 17.\n\nThe department may provide financial assistance, within the limits and conditions of the funds appropriated by the legislature, or otherwise obtained, for grants, leases, loans, and purchases, or any combination of grants, leases, loans, and purchases, for the establishment, continuation, and improvement of production, operation, maintenance, and support facilities of rail freight and marine freight transportation.\n\nThe following funds shall be deposited in the state treasury and shall be held as a separate fund to be known as the rail freight fund which shall be administered by the department within the limits and conditions of funds appropriated by the legislature for the purposes of subsection (1):\n\nThe funds repaid under a contract entered into pursuant to subsection (1).\n\nRevenue received from the sale, lease, or other disposition of property acquired under this act.\n\nRailroad operating subsidies refunded to the state pursuant to a contract.\n\nRevenue received from the sale or lease of a tug barge or related facilities constructed or acquired with comprehensive transportation fund money or comprehensive transportation fund bond proceeds.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 474","Act Act-295-of-1976"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-474-67","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"5d1696f9ec8f688e2805ac01aaebc7d66d20bb59e08bebb8eff74379b32ba5d5","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-474.66","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-474.67a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
