Laws § 483.159","heading":"Research, testing, development and training; cooperation with state and federal agencies.","body":"Sec. 9.\n\nThe commission may conduct research, testing, development and training necessary to carry out the provisions of this act.\n\nUpon request, the commission shall furnish to the federal department of transportation any information it has concerning the safety of any materials, operations, devices or processes relating to the transportation of gas or the operation of pipeline facilities.\n\nThe commission is authorized to advise, assist and cooperate with other state departments and agencies and other interested public and private agencies and persons, in the planning and development of safety standards, and methods for inspecting and testing to determine compliance with safety standards.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 483","Act Act-165-of-1969"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-483-159","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"494c35b3479e1629f61b91c453977dbdde93b33d5d0d0c390dc678ee759b6dd7","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-483.158","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-483.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
