Laws § 484.1502","heading":"Cessation of function as PSAP or secondary PSAP; notice; payment of costs for equipment removal or system modification.","body":"Sec. 502.\n\n(1) After installation and commencement of operation of a 9-1-1 system implemented under this act, a public safety agency serving a public agency or county within the 9-1-1 service district shall cease to function as a PSAP or a secondary PSAP 60 days after giving written notice to the county clerk. Within 5 days after receipt of the notice, the county clerk shall forward the written notice to the service supplier.\n\n(2) Notwithstanding any provision of this act, any costs incurred by a service supplier for equipment removal or system modification necessary for a public safety agency to cease functioning as a PSAP or secondary PSAP under subsection (1) shall be paid directly by the public safety agency.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 484","Act Act-32-of-1986"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-484-1502","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"030ab267c354ee84552d06293a261fddefe75cee07d21dd12a593d9eb64ba121","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-484.1501","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-484.1503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
