Laws § 487.2067","heading":"Prohibited activities or practices.","body":"Sec. 17.\n\nA licensee under this act shall not do any of the following:\n\nEngage in the business of a real estate broker or real estate salesperson licensed under article 25 of the occupational code, 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.2501 to 339.2518.\n\nEngage in the business of a pawnbroker licensed under 1917 PA 273, MCL 446.201 to 446.219.\n\nEngage in the business of a debt management company licensed under the debt management act, 1975 PA 148, MCL 451.411 to 451.437.\n\nEntering into a tying arrangement through which the licensee conditions the sale of 1 financial service to a consumer on the agreement by the consumer to purchase 1 or more other financial services from the licensee, an affiliate, or subsidiary of the licensee.\n\nKnowingly permit a person to violate an order that has been issued under this act or any other financial licensing act that prohibits that person from being employed by, an agent of, or a control person of the licensee.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 487","Act Act-161-of-1988"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-487-2067","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"d44f5db21975355d9fecbab4e893fb93eeb12fa913bc1890668d68946c51cfeb","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-487.2066b","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-487.2068"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
