Laws § 50.67","heading":"County clerk; office; compensation; fees.","body":"Sec. 67.\n\nThe county clerk shall keep his or her office at the seat of justice for the county, and shall receive for all services rendered the county in criminal cases and as clerk of the circuit court, and for his or her services as clerk of the county board of commissioners, and as clerk of the board of county and district canvassers, the salary as the county board of commissioners fixes.\n\nNotwithstanding subsection (1), for a county which has a county officers compensation commission, the compensation of the county clerk of that county shall be determined by that commission.\n\nFor his or her services in civil cases and other matters the fees and compensation shall be provided by law.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 50","Act R-S-of-1846"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-50-67","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"005c55d3fcbf4bb44caf7e1a30589f3369cc82bb6955b8fd6838f04d8fcad150","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-50.66","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-51.301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
