Laws § 500.3341","heading":"Coverage for certain convictions; premium surcharges.","body":"Sec. 3341.\n\nAs part of its secondary or merit rating plan, the facility shall provide for premium surcharges for any or all coverages, other than comprehensive coverage, for convictions for 1 or more of the following, when that information becomes available to the facility:\n\n(a) A violation of section 904 of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.904.\n\n(b) A violation of section 904a of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.904a.\n\n(c) A violation of section 91 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.91, resulting from or in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle.\n\n(d) A violation of section 316 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.316, resulting from or in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle.\n\n(e) A violation of section 317 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.317, resulting from or in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle.\n\n(f) A violation of section 321 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.321, resulting from or in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle.\n\n(g) A violation of section 324 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.324, or section 601d of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.601d.\n\n(h) A violation of section 382 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.382, resulting from or in connection with the operation of a motor vehicle.\n\n(i) A violation of section 413 of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.413.\n\n(j) A violation of section 626c of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.626c.\n\n(k) A violation substantially similar to any of the violations listed in subdivisions (a) through (j) under the laws of another state or a local unit of government of this state or another state.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 500","Act Act-218-of-1956"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-500-3341","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"5233a58c98306ddd82717ee4f951e68960b07b59ddbf5fda685313c2a0afd9ae","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-500.3340","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-500.3350"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
