Laws § 500.3452","heading":"Illegal occupation or criminal activity; optional provision; definitions.","body":"Sec. 3452.\n\n(1) An insurer may include in a disability insurance policy a provision as follows:\n\nILLEGAL OCCUPATION OR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY: The insurer is not liable for any loss to which a contributing cause was the insured's commission of or attempt to commit a felony or to which a contributing cause was the insured's being engaged in an illegal occupation or other willful criminal activity.\n\n(2) As used in this section:\n\n(a) \"Willful criminal activity\" includes, but is not limited to, any of the following:\n\n( i ) Operating a vehicle while intoxicated in violation of section 625 of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.625, or similar law in a jurisdiction outside of this state.\n\n( ii ) Operating a methamphetamine laboratory.
