Laws § 550.2004","heading":"Expedited enrollment process; temporary eligibility card or voucher; eligibility requirements.","body":"Sec. 4.\n\nThe department shall establish an expedited enrollment process or provide an emergency voucher if an otherwise eligible EPIC applicant immediately needs to obtain a medically necessary prescription.\n\nThe department shall give an applicant enrolled under subsection (1) a temporary EPIC program eligibility card or an emergency voucher that is valid for up to 90 days from the issue date.\n\nEligibility requirements for emergency vouchers shall not be more restrictive than the requirements established for the Michigan emergency pharmaceutical program for seniors previously funded in the annual appropriation for the department.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 550","Act Act-499-of-2000"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-550-2004","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"b937ae77b1a96a22373a78fca85c401b3687cdac69218820389c2be9115e5c64","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-550.2003","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-550.2005"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
