Laws § 550.366a","heading":"Prudent purchaser agreements; rates; provisions inapplicable to certain contracts and renewal thereof.","body":"Sec. 16a.\n\nA dental care corporation may enter into prudent purchaser agreements with dentists pursuant to the prudent purchaser act.\n\nThe rates charged by a corporation for coverage under contracts issued under this section shall not be unreasonably lower than what is necessary to meet the expenses of the corporation for providing this coverage and shall not have an anticompetitive effect or result in predatory pricing in relation to prudent purchaser agreement coverages offered by other organizations.\n\nNothing in the 1984 amendatory act that added this section shall apply to any contract which was in existence before December 20, 1984, or the renewal of such contract.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 550","Act Act-125-of-1963"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-550-366a","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"b8a61f1902e01fac979e925db76df2acf868fd5b35caddff802fde0e8f25e3a6","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-550.366","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-550.367"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
