Laws § 552.2612","heading":"Modification of child-support order by tribunal of another state.","body":"Sec. 612.\n\nIf a child-support order issued by a tribunal of this state is modified by a tribunal of another state that assumed jurisdiction under the uniform interstate family support act, all of the following apply:\n\n(a) A tribunal of this state may enforce its order that was modified only as to arrears and interest accruing before the modification.\n\n(b) A tribunal of this state may provide appropriate relief for violations of its order that occurred before the effective date of the modification.\n\n(c) A tribunal of this state shall recognize the modifying order of the other state, upon registration, for the purpose of enforcement.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 552","Act Act-255-of-2015"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-552-2612","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"1d92e9e9adb8214b4997724202a6345843567bc2d905448b7ab351e49da8127a","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-552.2611","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-552.2613"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
