Laws § 600.2943","heading":"Quieting title; relief to defendant on rehearing.","body":"Sec. 2943.\n\nWhen any rehearing of an action quieting title to real estate is ordered on petition of a defendant, the relief to be granted the defendant shall be limited to an award of damages against the prevailing parties in the original action, in an amount determined by the court to be equivalent to the fair cash market value of the interest of the defendant in the real estate at the time of entry of the original decree.
