Laws § 600.8146","heading":"Eighty-first district.","body":"Sec. 8146.\n\n(1) Until the date determined under subsection (2), the eighty-first district consists of the counties of Alcona, Arenac, Iosco, and Oscoda, is a district of the first class, and has 1 judge.\n\n(2) Beginning on the date on which a vacancy occurs in the office of district judge in the eighty-first district or the beginning date of the term for which the incumbent district judge in the eighty-first district no longer seeks election or reelection to that office, whichever is earlier, all of the following apply:\n\n(a) The eighty-first district consists of the counties of Alcona, Arenac, Iosco, and Oscoda and is a district of the first class.\n\n(b) Under section 810a, the probate judge for the county of Alcona shall serve as judge of the eighty-first district within the county of Alcona.\n\n(c) Under section 810a, the probate judge for the county of Arenac shall serve as judge of the eighty-first district within the county of Arenac.\n\n(d) Under section 810a, the probate judge for the county of Iosco shall serve as judge of the eighty-first district within the county of Iosco.\n\n(e) Under section 810a, the probate judge for the county of Oscoda shall serve as judge of the eighty-first district within the county of Oscoda.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 600","Act Act-236-of-1961"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-600-8146","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"e4c5f9e6c151b730791c8ce71d412a03e31501f50cc8b88431f21f9249d0e86d","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-600.8145","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-600.8147"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
