Laws § 64.7","heading":"Clerk; duties.","body":"Sec. 7.\n\nUnless otherwise provided by ordinance, the clerk shall do all of the following:\n\nHave charge of all the books, vouchers, and documents relating to the accounts, contracts, debts, and revenues of the corporation.\n\nCountersign and register all bonds issued, and keep a list of all property belonging to the village, and of all its debts and liabilities.\n\nKeep a complete set of books, exhibiting the financial condition of the village in all its departments, funds, resources, and liabilities, with a proper classification, and showing the purpose for which each fund was raised.\n\nKeep an account of all the money received for each of the several funds of the village, and credit all check disbursements drawn, keeping an account with each fund.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 61","Act Act-3-of-1895"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-64-7","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"8fb15b9849e1b0e6b40e95f8b3a16273ec3afba78b2a6aea8c05099ffb9ac8d4","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-64.6","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-64.8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
