Laws § 64.9","heading":"Village treasurer; duties.","body":"Sec. 9.\n\nThe treasurer shall do all of the following:\n\nHave the custody of all money, bonds other than official bonds filed with the clerk under chapter II, mortgages, notes, leases, and evidences of value belonging to the village.\n\nReceive all money belonging to, and receivable by the corporation.\n\nKeep an account of all receipts and expenditures.\n\nCollect and keep an account of all taxes and money appropriated, raised, or received for each fund of the village, and keep a separate account of each fund.\n\nPay check disbursement authorizations out of the particular fund raised for the purpose for which the disbursement was authorized.\n\nPerform duties prescribed by this act relating to assessing property and levying taxes.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 61","Act Act-3-of-1895"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-64-9","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"7223f5f9afe47819cf60a52b01575507a8459bc62d4eab3c4b1f71ef9154c582","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-64.8a","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-65.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
