Laws § 69.2","heading":"Authority of council to levy taxes; general highway fund.","body":"Sec. 2.\n\nThe council shall also have power to raise, by general tax upon all real estate and personal property aforesaid, such sum not exceeding 1/2 of 1 per cent of the assessed value of said property, as they shall deem necessary for highway and street purposes.
