Laws § 700.3107","heading":"Proceedings; scope; independence.","body":"Sec. 3107.\n\nUnless a proceeding involves supervised administration as described in part 5 of this article, the following apply:\n\nEach proceeding before the court or register is independent of any other proceeding involving the same estate.\n\nA petition for a formal court order may combine various requests for relief in a single proceeding if the order sought may be a final order and may be granted without delay.\n\nExcept as required in this article for another proceeding, the following apply:\n\nA petition is not defective because it fails to embrace all matters that might then be the subject of a final order.\n\nA proceeding for probate of a will or an adjudication of no will may be combined with a proceeding for appointment of a personal representative.\n\nA proceeding for appointment of a personal representative is concluded by an order making or declining the appointment.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 700","Act Act-386-of-1998"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-700-3107","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"22fd9a74e51270814eb73b8055bcfc800c539454b38d79c33b8935eca67f671c","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-700.3106","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-700.3201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
