Laws § 750.411n","heading":"Second-degree money laundering.","body":"Sec. 411n.\n\nExcept as otherwise provided in section 411o, a person who violates section 411k is guilty of second-degree money laundering if the value of the proceeds or substituted proceeds of the specified criminal offense involved in the violation is $10,000.00 or more and the violation involves either of the following:\n\nThe specified criminal offense involved in the violation is a controlled substance offense, or an attempt, solicitation, or conspiracy to commit a controlled substance offense.\n\nThe violation is committed with the intent to do 1 or more of the following:\n\nPromote the commission of the criminal offense from which the proceeds or substituted proceeds were derived or any other criminal offense.\n\nConceal or disguise the nature, location, source, ownership, or control of the proceeds or substituted proceeds of the specified criminal offense or avoid a transaction reporting requirement under state or federal law.\n\nSecond-degree money laundering is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 10 years, or by a fine of not more than $100,000.00 or twice the value of the proceeds or substituted proceeds of the specified criminal offense involved in the violation, whichever is greater, or both.\n\nFor purposes of this section, the $10,000.00 threshold for the value of the proceeds or substituted proceeds of a specified criminal offense may be aggregated over a period of 30 calendar days.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 750","Act Act-328-of-1931"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-750-411n","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"c933711c084a954d729f8a82ae0099501b6963a654c74544d791fdbb7b9e0b57","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-750.411m","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-750.411o"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
