Laws § 767.7e","heading":"Grand jury convened by court of appeals; duties of court of appeals.","body":"Sec. 7e.\n\nIf the court of appeals convenes a grand jury with jurisdiction over 2 or more counties, the court of appeals shall do all of the following:\n\nDesignate a judge of the circuit court or of the recorder's court to preside over the grand jury proceedings.\n\nIf the petition to convene the grand jury was filed under section 7b(2), designate the prosecuting attorney of 1 of the counties over which the grand jury is to have jurisdiction to assist the grand jury.\n\nDesignate the counties from which the jurors shall be drawn from among the counties over which the grand jury is to have jurisdiction.\n\nDesignate the number of jurors to be drawn for the grand jury and the number of jurors to be drawn from each county.\n\nDesignate the locations for the grand jury proceedings.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 760","Act Act-175-of-1927"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-767-7e","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"aac3e986f9c65c49a9d761faf097ca98189ece09874b5554087e96c7cceb3b1b","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-767.7d","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-767.7f"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
