Laws § 774.26a","heading":"Blank forms for recording information concerning money received in criminal case; approval; completion.","body":"Sec. 26a.\n\nThe county treasurer shall provide a municipal court within the county with blank forms which have been approved by the state treasurer. The forms shall provide space for recording the following information with respect to all sums of money which the municipal court receives in a criminal case on account of any forfeiture of bail, bond, recognizance, fine, penalty, or taxation of costs:\n\nReceipt number.\n\nDocket number.\n\nNature of offense.\n\nAmount of the fine.\n\nAmount of statutory court fees.\n\nOfficers' fees.\n\nOther receipts, including a forfeitured bond.\n\nTotal receipts.\n\nDisposition of the case.\n\nName of defendant.\n\nThe name of the municipal judge.\n\nThe name of the city.\n\nEach municipal judge shall complete the forms and shall furnish 1 copy to the county treasurer, and 1 copy either to the county clerk or to the controller or board of auditors, in counties having a controller or board of auditors, and shall retain 1 completed form for the municipal court files.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 760","Act Act-175-of-1927"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-774-26a","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"cf7561309cefe0697df5101e3a299893011bcf2c279bd6a920e963e554f7e94d","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-774.26","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-774.26b"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
