Score prior record variable 2 by determining which of the following apply and by assigning the number of points attributable to the one that has the highest number of points:\n\n(a) The offender has 4 or more prior low severity felony convictions 30 points (b) The offender has 3 prior low severity felony convictions 20 points (c) The offender has 2 prior low severity felony convictions 10 points (d) The offender has 1 prior low severity felony conviction 5 points (e) The offender has no prior low severity felony convictions 0 points\n\n(a) The offender has 4 or more prior low severity felony convictions\n\n30 points\n\n(b) The offender has 3 prior low severity felony convictions\n\n20 points\n\n(c) The offender has 2 prior low severity felony convictions\n\n10 points\n\n(d) The offender has 1 prior low severity felony conviction\n\n5 points\n\n(e) The offender has no prior low severity felony convictions\n\n0 points\n\n(2) As used in this section, \"prior low severity felony conviction\" means a conviction for any of the following, if the conviction was entered before the sentencing offense was committed:\n\n(a) A crime listed in offense class E, F, G, or H.\n\n(b) A felony under a law of the United States or another state that corresponds to a crime listed in offense class E, F, G, or H.\n\n(c) A felony that is not listed in offense class M2, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, or H and that is punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of less than 10 years.\n\n(d) A felony under a law of the United States or another state that does not correspond to a crime listed in offense class M2, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, or H and that is punishable by a maximum term of imprisonment of less than 10 years.","path":["MI Code","Chapter 760","Act Act-175-of-1927"],"source_url":"https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-777-52","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:31Z","sha256":"a3bf3afa7a4794b9556689eb94bebd58c67f8e938899df9eb1b20e1f879cb4ca","source_id":"us-mi","stale":false,"prev":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-777.51","next":"us-mi/mich.-comp.-laws-777.53"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
